Terrible what the Chelsea doctor has been put through by so-called fans when she's on the pitch tending to injured players.

A lot of the people who attend football games are complete neanderthals. Nothing worse than over flowing lad culture and 'I'm well ard' fools with an attractive woman about. I don't know why they don't insist on all PL tickets being backed up with a passport, so they can review the footage and ban the people responsible. Plenty of responsibility on those who attend the games with these idiots. If someone you go to the game with goes too far, you should tell them to pack it in, not encourage them like primary school children.

However, she is well tidy.

Who was the guest commentator on the football tonight? Lawrensen? I have so much hatred for whoever it was, he wound me up no end during the game. Blind, one eyed guest commentary, just going Arsenal's way on everything.

The referee had an interesting game. Plenty of praise from the commentators for his bravery in booking just about every United player tonight. But, he clearly had a mare for the couple of minutes that led to Di Maria's sending off. Firstly Sanchez falls over under mild pressure from Valencia. If there was any physical contact at all it was the softest, gentlest brush of his shirt. Yet Oliver gave the free kick without any hesitation. Then it goes up the other end and Di Maria goes down easily as well, but at least he was thrown off balance by the Arsenal defender grabbing his hand and throwing it. As clear a free kick as you will ever see. Yet Oliver books Di Maria, a decision so utterly stupid and obviously wrong. Yet the commentators don't mention that and instead praise Oliver for sending Di Maria off for tugging the ref on the shirt. Oliver's reaction for me is what is wrong with referees these days. They all think they are Collina, they think they have personalities and have the biggest egos on the pitch. His reaction reminds me of when they have guest referees in WWE, it was a Shaun Michaels reaction, the acting was ridiculous. Terrible refereeing there, if Di Maria is going to get banned for the 'come here' reaction, the ref should also be stood down for his calamitous decision.

How on earth does Bellerin stay on as well? I'm all for winding back the years to proper football and proper challenges, but by today's soft standards, that was as easy a yellow as you'll ever see. The one decision the referee got right was the yellow for Januzaj. What a terrible player. People on here are slating Ross Barkley for his lack of progress this season, he's another who started brightly and has completely fizzled out. He looks so raw as a player now, lacking any sort of game awareness and having absolutely no judgement about when to pass and when to dribble. Two or three times he beat the fullback and didn't put a single ball into the box.

The physio at Saints in the early 90's was very pleasing on the eye too.

Don't recall any chants about her...goes to show some of the knuckle draggers that go to football.

Janette Smith. She was entwined with Eric Hughes during his tenure. She took abuse for that so RL isn't exactly clean on the matter. I've certainly heard enough sexist chants at RL to know that it's not a one-off. It is a lot less common now and I'm proud to say I was one of those male fans who said no to chants like that :)

Should add, Janette is on Twitter if you want to rekindle some old midget surfboard memories :)

Oh how I laughed at Chelsea. I dont think I have ever seen a bigger, or funnier dose of karma in my life. Couldnt have happened to a nicer club. Im sure PSG will be next to employ Mourinho though once he realises he cant buy the league at Chelsea

John Terry thinks it's OK for players to surround the referee and carry on like they did ( because it's part of the game he says ) after the foul by Ibrahimovic. Oscar should have got a yellow card for his over the top reaction as well after the foul - pathetic.

Re: Football Chat Thread PART II : Fri Mar 13, 2015 4:26 pm
Every time there's a borderline yellow/red card incident there's always a swarm of oppo players insisting that it's a red. This notion that it's only Chelsea that do it is utterly ridiculous. PSG were doing it on Wednesday night for a start, but no one gave a toss because that was against us.

Earlier in the season at Palace Azpilicueta was rightfully given a straight red for an awful challenge that he was stretching for. Palace had seven players instantly running at the ref over that and making sure the right card was produced. Three minutes later Delaney, already on a yellow card, was beaten by Remy and stupidly stuck both arms around Remy and pulled him down, earning himself a second yellow. After the game the absolute idiot Neil Warnock whined that Chelsea players had got Delaney sent off by pressuring the ref and that was the story the press went with.

At home against Arsenal Cahill committed a borderline yellow/red foul on Sanchez. Arsenal players went ape excrement over it, Wenger went ape excrement over it and even went and shoved Mourinho, the commentators whined about it only being a yellow and not a red. Not a word about hassling the ref then.

Late in the game Wednesday Costa committed a moronic foul on Silva that really could have seen him off. Three PSG players immediately ran at the ref trying to make it a red card, and when it was only a yellow they were clearly complaining about it. No comment whatsoever from Sky about that.

Ibrahimovich committed a borderline yellow/red on Wednesday. He lunged into a challenge and couldn't pull out of it, he was nowhere near the ball and clearly made contact with Oscar. Some refs would have given the yellow, but going by the rules it was a correct red card. With the way both Ibrahimovich and Oscar went in to that challenge whoever was late was in big trouble. The notion that the press have that it was a blatantly incorrect red and only given because of the CFC players is complete and utter BS.

I thought CFC played awful on Wednesday and can totally understand the glee that oppo "neutrals" have at us going out. But the standard of journo/pundits in this country is even worse than our awful refs. And most football fans are so utterly dim that they need to be told what to think by utter cretins like Carragher and Souness. You'd probably be sat for hours watching both of their teams hounding refs at the slightest opportunity. Their offence over it now simply doesn't ring true.
