Good news is that Figueroa is back, so Edman who was at fault for 6 goals will be dropped. Darren Bent is doubtful, so hopefully he'll be out, as is Kenwyne Jones suspended. Hopefully we can take 3 points and go all out for a win.

According to BBC Bent is playing, was just a dead leg.

I'm hoping Wanderers can bounce back. They were doing ok until bumping into Chelsea twice in 4 days. It's all gone pear-shaped since.

I tell you what, I've a lot of time for Titus Bramble. I actually think he's a good defender. I think he's one of these unlucky sods that every time he makes an error it gets punished. He never gets the chance to just put his hand up and say sorry, and play moves away, it's always in the back of the net with him looking up at the heavens with a gormlous expression planted on his face.

99% of the time I think he's a quality defender, it's the 1%, those lapses that've got him that reputation for being a blurt.

Did i actually say it was good enough to be competing for it? I agree its not good enough, but with the reports that a possibile signing of Van Nistlerooy, it could show signs of improvement, whether it will be a big enough improvement to win the league or not is another question.

I honestly can't see where or how Van Nistlerooy would improve Liverpool from January. The guys now 33 and spends more time on the physio table than on the pitch thesedays and with Ngog improving with the run of games he's had why bring in another striker? Unless you think Rafa would change his formation and go with two strikers? Personally i can't see it.

imo Liverpool main problem is the lack of genuine width with players like Kuyt and Riera (couldn't even make an impact at City) also the obsession with playing two holding midfielders hurts the team going forward with Lucas and Mascarano playing so deep it leaves Gerrard on his own to try and link up with Torres. Maybe Aquilani can fill that gap in midfield but can he be kept fit long enough to get a run of games to strike up a partnership with Gerrard?
