you sign a 32 year old goalie,one of the best in europe and at the peak of his form,give him a lucrative four year deal then get rid of him...

I think the point is, Mark's saying that Citeh were on the verge of shipping Hart out, they'd gone with Given. McClennan's saying that Hart was never going to be shipped out, he was merely being loaned out to give him game time.

I'm with McClennan on this. There's no evidence that Hart was going to be sold by Citeh. He just shocked them with his performances so that rather than having another year or two out on loan, he was good enough to bring back as their number 1.

I don't have one.

Fair enough. Saw him in glimpses for Atletico, he's gone from one extreme to the other from what I've seen. Outstanding to a clanger, a bit like de Gea. I think he'll replace Cech in a couple of years.

believe it or not Gomes was (and still is) seen as a brilliant goalie in holland by the dutch fans - they can't figure out why he's been such a disaster in england...

here's hoping he won't wear the THFC strip again...
