Can't take much out of beating the Vikings. The Packers D may cost them a perfect season. As i've said before, if you come up against us, we have the tools on offense to keep the ball out of Rodgers hands and tear your defence apart. It would still be tough, but we have the ability. Most plays in the NFL of 30+ yards and the best defensive player in the game.
Didn't Cowgirl fans say that last season as well, that they were going to tear us apart, and Green Bay won 45 - 7?
And you reel off all these stats etc of where your better than the Packers but your record is 5 -4 and ours 9 -0. We have a knack of getting the job done and looking damn good in the process, topping the NFL Power Rankings every single week with every single pundit.

Are you honestly that stupid? No we didn't say that as we had Jon Kitna at quarterback and we're about 1-7 at the time,. But you'd know that if you knew what you were talking about. I'm saying that we match up well against the Packers, there will be some teams we don't match up well against. Like the Eagles, as they have the db's to cover our weapons. Packers are miles better than us. There is no disputing that.

Yawnnnnnn - And is it any wonder that people hate the Dallas Cowboys with fans like you?

Fans like you? Why? is it because I provide reasons and facts to back up my opinions? Or should I just post "yeah, we're the bestest ever, we're 9-0. we beat you lots....yeah woo hoo." Is that the best way to discuss NFL?Try debating the point in a reasonable manner, nothing I've said is out of order or incorrect. I've quite complimentary on your previous posts on here, but you seem to have had a massive dummy spit because somebody dare suggest that a team may matchup well against your Packers.
As for hating the Cowboys...
Most superbowl appearances Most playoff appearances Forbes most valuable franchise 20 consecutive winning seasons 5 time superbowl champions One of the best coaches of all-time, partly responsible for the great Lombardi teams in the 60's. All-time leading rusher Americas team.
Great offense wins games, great defence wins championships! Unless your the 1999 Rams of course
I liked that D. Williams, Herring, Carter, Farr and co were a very underated unit. Didn't you beat the Bucs 10-6 in the championship game? may be wrong.
Just been watching 10-1 of the NFL's greatest ever players. It got me thinking, what would your top ten look like from when you started watching football?
1989-2011
1. Peyton Manning 2. Lawrence Taylor 3. Jerry Rice 4. Deion Sanders 5. Reggie White 6. Barry Sanders 7. Ray lewis 8. Emmit Smith 9. Joe Montana 10.Marshall Faulk
It was very obvious that my post was in jest. Oh, and don't confuse me disagreeing with you as me suggesting that we are unbeatable. ANY team could beat us. Maybe it would require a combination of the opposition playing excellent and us having a down game, but it is possible.

Full marks on missing the point and your brilliant reply. Rodgers is 5th in the league for how many sacks he has taken, great at evading pressure in general though but Ware could get to him. That's that part of the argument shot down. Do you know how a 3-4 works? Guessing you don't. By your logic, Clay Matthews would be ineffective, saying that, he has been most of the year.
He is the best QB in the league against the Blitz. Of course Ware could, and would get to him but it also possible to combat him in the way I suggested. We have done it many times previously against very good pass rushers, especially during the period our line was trash. We motion Finley into the backfield to provide protection until he breaks out on a route, or we send him to the side of the line with the premier pass rushers. In such circumstances the pass rusher either has to cover Finley (matchup nightmare) negating any pass rush or with Rodgers' quick release a pass can be completed to Finley before the blitz gets to him. The same is often done with Nelson. It is a key reason why A-God is so good on 3rd downs.
Matthews has been ineffective for that reason. He is still a phenomenal player but with no pass rush opposite him opponents are able to take him out of the game in coverage. When he does rush he is chipped or given outside leverage and can't get there in time to make the sack, although he can still be disruptive.
Oh, and I do know what the 34 is and how it opperates. (Also i do know enough about the NFL and not just watch games on TV which is something you said in a previous edit of this post).

Ratliff and Hatcher would be the lineman along with Ware rushing from the outside. Rob Ryan is great as disguising blitzes, with Lee and James dropping into coverage. We would more than likely get 40+ on us, but we have the tools in Dez, Austin, Robinson, Witten and DeMarco Murray to give the Packers a game. Rodgers is the best quarterback I've seen but he can't score if not on the field.
Another point (and one of the reasons why I made what I thought was an amusing post) was the suggestion that because you have the most plays of 30 yards or more you could compete but in the same breath saying you'd keep Rodgers off the ball. Surely if you have long plays your more likely to give us the ball sooner? An explosive team isn't really a concern for us as we could get into a shootout with anybody. Teams we would struggle with are those who can take an age with possession (Giants, San Fran) and have strong defenses.

Football is a game of matchups, we're 13th against the pass, you're 31st against the pass. We're 9th in total D and you're 28th. We're 5th in total offense, and you're 4th. Our redzone struggles would hamper us though and Green Bay are very good at keeping people out. We match up very well against the Packers, not saying we'd win, but we'd give them a game. Have a think before trying to be witty and posting silly pictures or coming up with daft explanations of play calling.
Are you not mentioning any matchups where we are better than you? (I assume the total offense was included to suggest your not far behind us).
My post which was meant in jest was not to suggest you could never beat us, but that I thought your reasons (Ware and most plays of over 30 yards) were really weak reasons.
Why did the Packers have to keep scoring touchdowns last night.I needed 10 points from Crosby last night to make a comeback from 40+points behind in my fantasy game and he got nine,1 more fg instead of an extra point and I would have won.Ended my hopes of a playoff spot in my 1st season of FF.
My input into the Packers/Cowboys debate is they're a few teams in the NFC that on their day could beat the Packers in the playoffs and the Cowboys are 1 of them. It'll need an offday for the Packers O but the Bears/Cowboys/Giants have The D to give them a chance while there's only the Saints imo that have the offence that can go point for point against the Packers.

Good idea. Mine would be:
1. Kurt Warner 2. Marshall Faulk 3. Peyton Manning 4. Tom Brady 5. Ray Lewis 6. Steven Jackson 7. Andre Johnson 8. Adrian Peterson 9. Ed Reed 10. Brett Favre
Probably missed a load out and my list is more than a little biased
