Player of the season - Edwin Van Der Sar
Manager of the season - Could make a case for Coyle, Pulis, Hughes or Moyes TBH but will go for Moyes as he consistently has Everton up there despite being up against the odds year in year out.
Goal of the season - Rooney vs Man City is the obvious one (espicially as a red) but I'm going to go for Bale vs Stoke to be different!
Match of the season - Newcastle vs Arsenal
Signing of the season - Chicharito but have to mention Odemwingie and Suarez who has done better than most other January signings in recet times.
Flop of the season - Joe Cole. I would put Torres, but giving him te benefit of the January switch.
Gripe of the season - FA Incosistency
Pundit of the season - Could you call Raphael Hogenstein a pundit? Always enjoy listening to his musings on pod casts, atricles and he odd time on Press Pass.
Innovations needed for next season - Goal line technology is the obvious one, but I'd also like to see the manager challenge available. Any incident can be challeged at any point (they have one in each half), and the incident is reviewed immediately by a TV Official. If the decision is upheld the manager loses a substitution and their challenge for the half, if changed they get to keep their challenge and all substitutions. If decisions are as clear cut as managers like to think, they will make the challenge. If there's doubt, they won't want to lose a sub so will in effect admit it was a tough call and not have a leg to stand on when criticising referees. It will never happen like but I'd like managers to put their money where their mouth is so to speak.
