Lets put things in perspective here. Around 10 years ago, Man City were in Div 3 when Man Utd were winning the Treble. City have come up short this season, but 'awful' they are not. They had a 100% home record until last weekend, so please get a grip.
City will just spend ££££ until they win it. They aren't going to go away. Maybe they will be that bit less awful next season.

Maybe you can finally out your dick away now. Boring sod.
To win the league you need to have what Fergie has at United; a team. Not a bunch of individuals and egos.
In Spain, Barca are slowly closing the gap on Real, who need to beat Valencia tonight to be 6 points clear after playing the same amount of fixtures. 7 games left after tonight, if Real don't win tonight then it'll be squeaky bum time at the Bernabeu.

They'll need a decent manager before they purchase, sorry, win any titles......Mancini is mediocre and is simply the Paul Cullen of football.
Both Cullen and Mancini are ample proof in any sport, that having the players is only half the job....Only a good coach can add that much needed X-Factor which is needed to win trophies.

I wouldn't go that far. Mancini at least acknowledges the defensive aspect of the game...
Mancini is a decent manager but I think he struggles to cope with pressure. At Inter, the pressure was always to win the European Cup, his Inter sides played decent football, they were tactically strong and they had versatile players, but they could never perform when the expectations were there in Europe. I remember us beating his Inter side, I was so disappointed that a side with such quality could lack a spine. He's shown this season at City, his side can be flat track bullies, but when the pressure is on to get a result, they've flopped in the league and they bombed out of Europe.
If you look through his time at Inter and City, he's tactically good, he's handled big players and he's played different kinds of football to get results. He's not one dimensional, he's not negative, nor is he overly expansive, he just seems to struggle when it comes to handling pressure, and that struggle is usually expressed in his team's performance.

Mancini is a good manager and has done a good job at city so far. He HAS made mistakes this season, but he's only human.
It's worth noting though, just look at uniteds form. LOOK AT IT!!! I doubt many, if any could have kept united at bay the rate at which they've picked up points. So city haven't lost the title, United have won it.
City won't go away. United's experience has told this season. But with some smart signings (and outgoings!) city will be better equipped next season. It's taken an incredible run of form, from a very experienced title winning team to overhaul city.
A lot of people say that Liverpool FC are awful, well at least they have an excuse in that they have awful players. What is Manchester City's excuse? With the roster they have, they should have had the EPL wrapped up in February, yet they are now 8 points behind the leaders and with only 6 games left.
I do not think Mancini will have another chance, he will be gone in the summer.
The concept of 'form' hasn't yet reached your neck of the woods then?

A good job???.....
He's completely bottled it in a way that makes the Keegan meltdown of '96 look like a simple blip.
Mancini needs sacking before he is allowed to throw away even more oil money.....I've said it several times, a good manager would have walked away with this league with that squad, and couple the chucking away of the title with the ridiculously poor man-management of Tevez and Balotelli, and you have to wonder how he can honestly keep his job, come summer.

despite the potential for the biggest point haul it's not a vintage united side, midfield needs some work.

walked away with the league?
Theres a good chance united will amass over 90 points by seasons end. The record is 95 points. So how exactly were city supposed to walk away with the league? By winning every single game?
Ridiculous. Mancini hasn't bottled anything. City hit a bad patch of form which coincided with an outrageous run of form by united.
You can't just click your fingers and win a title no matter how many billions you have. It takes time to build a title winning team, even with endless amounts of money. Theres no getting away from that. Under mancinin city have shown improvement year on year in terms of performance and points amassed. This year will be no different.
