If he didn't go off the radar and utterly fail himself, he'd probably be the best player I've ever seen, but, I just think Zidane's longevity and ability to be the best for so long made him that much better. IMO anyway, 'Dinho could still turn a corner and revive some of the old magic, but I don't think he'll ever be able to produce it consistently or on the biggest stage.

You can't be serious. Ronaldinho isn't in the same class as Zidane. He literally ran games for club & country. Ronaldinho was anonymous for long periods then could just inject himself into a game with a moment of brilliance, he was a smiling Matt Le Tissier.

Ronaldo [Fat], he's a better player than Ronaldinho. That season in Barca, '95 I think under Bobby, I've never seen a better centre forward. Injuries probably meant we never truly saw how good he could've been, moments like his hat-trick at OT gave us a glimpse, he was insanely good.

As I said 'The smile, the laugh, the effortless skill.' I'm not saying he's the best player ever to put on a pair of boots, but he's one of the players I've most enjoyed watching.
