The 3rd round summed it up. After Akiyama got to his feet after the low blow, he just let Bisping punch him in the face as much as Bisping wanted to but dear god, my 4 year old daughter can punch harder.
If you have no ground game (which no british fighter has and rules you out of ever winning a title) you have to, at the very least have a punch so you have the very minuscule chance of knocking out someone decent.
I said from day one that Lesnar was completely and utterly over rated yet the know it alls on here declared he was the real deal. The fight against Carwin should have been stopped, no doubt about it and then last night he gets demolished.
I think Cain Velasquez if he keeps on his way could provide Brock with a bit of trouble, he's a couple fights off though yet I reckon. Thing is with Brock he's so big and dominant on the ground that once he's on top he's difficult to shift, there arn't many fighters around that can match him for power, but Velasquez is a top wrestler with excellent technique, he's also got some power of his own.

i said that as well, the exact same thing happened, he got put on his booty and for nearly 30 plus seconds straight carwin whaled on him and he just cowered and covered up.
Last nights fight should never have happened.
Oh, and a mickey poor debut for jake shields, Kampmann should've won that.
Silva vs Belfort at the weekend, Silva looked beatable last time out when Sonnen dominated him for four and a half rounds before getting caught in a sub. Belfort's a dangerous fighter, but think Silva will have upped his game in training and will knock him out.
Griffin vs Franklin, loser gets a tattoo of whatever the winner decides apparently. Forrest needs a win, but it will be tough against Rich. I'll go for Franklin on points.
Fight Of The Night, Jon Jones vs Ryan Bader. Bader has been impressive since winning TUF 8, beating Jardine and Little Nog of late. This is his toughest test though against the biggest up and coming fighter in the UFC today. Jones has destroyed everyone put in front of him, and took apart Matyushenko last time out in the 1st round. This is his biggest fight yet and the winner could catapult into the title picture. Its a tough one to call as Bader is no pushover and despite the majority going for Jones, Im going for Bader on points... just !!
Tough fight for Paul Kelly against Donald Cerrone, a decent produce from the WEC. I hope Kelly can do it though, but again its going to be a battle.

Griffin/Franklin is a toss up agreed, Could see Franklin landing though and sending Forrest in a wobble again. Jones Bader I think Bader will be his toughest test but he should come through maybe a UD. Oh and if anyone watches Strikeforce Fedor is 11/8 to win the GP, other than overeem shouldnt really be a challenge. All depends how belfort is mentally, could be a shock but agreed can see Anderson stoppin a tired belfort in the latter rounds.
