As for Adam Johnson, I'm not quite sure the problem - He is a nothing player, a poor man's Joe Cole.... Chamberlain is a much better pick as he has pace, which is crucial at this level. He will make a good impact player off the bench - With Wilshire, I can understand your questioning of his selection, but overall I much prefer him to Johnson, as he has Champions League experience and does have the potential to be a half decent player, something which can't be said for Johnson, who struggles to have a consistent run of form in a poor Sunderland side.
I'm not banging an Adam Johnson drum, he obviously wouldn't be a starter, just showing how little impact actually playing has on selection. From a stat they did earlier on SSN, Johnson has started 28 games, got 8 goals and 16 assists. Oxlade Chamberlain started 6 games (8 in all competitions) and got 2 goals and 2 assists. The Ox is a player regarded as a big name, always a star, but he barely plays at all.

To be fair, if Johnson was at Arsenal, he wouldn't get off the bench - Chamberlain offers far more potential at this level, Johnson would be laughably out of his depth.
Ask yourself this, if Everton were offered either Chamberlain or Johnson, who would you take? - Personally, I'd drive to London to fetch Chamberlain, I'd puncture the tyres on Johnson's car to stop him making it to Goodison.
Johnson's done well this season because he's been given something of a free role, allowed to play around the penalty area rather than just out wide. But he would never be given that role by England or one of the top clubs.
Go on then, it wouldn't be a world cup unless someone said it.

Very, very unlikely, though if Greece can win a European Championship, then there is no reason that a lesser side like England could somehow wangle themselves a way to a Semi final, or even a final.
I'm actually made up with the squad that Hodgson has picked - If his tactics are as adventurous as his selection, then at least we should go down having put up a fight.

There was the Dane's who had to vacate their sun loungers to take part in, and win the euros too

I thought we were beyond that now. But then Woy asserts that we are capable and I thought maybe I then read the Spain and Argentina squad announcements and I read Nasri's wife spewing abuse at the French FA on twitter as he revealed he wasn't selected and I realised I was back to a no. I'd hate to be the one that chops Spain's 30 into a 23, let alone an 11. Unbelievably hard decisions to make there.
Hasn't The Ox been injured most of the season? So to say he's only played 8 games is a bit of an unfair comparison!
Not really, the Ox has only started 23 league games for Arsenal and he's been there three full seasons now. He's never been a regular player. Unless he does something quickly he's going to be one of those players who never fulfils anything like their potential, he really hasn't ever got going.
