And so you aim towards the sky,
And you'll rise high today,
Fly away, Far away,
Far from pain....

I think Rodgers will see what's happened with Tottenham and the Bale money and insist that Suarez stays. LFC will have CL football next season so he can't complain about missing out on that.

The simple question is what would LFC prefer - Luis Suarez or 80m quid. I think Brendan Rodgers and most LFC fans would say they'd prefer to keep Suarez.

I think Suarez will have to push the transfer through. I think Rodgers will back down when his car gets set on fire. And that's just the first step of Suarez 10 step plan for his exit.

To be honest, if Tottenham had a bottomless pit of cash, they would still somehow make a pig's ear of putting together a title challenging squad.....

Rodgers, to give him his due, as so far seemed pretty wise in the transfer market - I'd certainly have more confidence in him spending £80m successfully, than Tottenham have managed with the Bale money.

I don't think LFC would want to lose Suarez, but keeping a player who has had his head turned by Real Madrid, would just cause unneeded unrest, for a club which has based most of its success this season on the closeness and unity of their squad.

The issue with getting that much money for Suarez is clubs take the absolute p*ss on transfer fees. I wouldn't want him to go because I know we'd only get £50m-£60m of talent in return but we'd spend £80m-£90m on it.

I obviously want him to stay because he's so good. A lot of people are talking about him forcing through a move etc., but I can't see anything happening until after the season and maybe even the world cup.

One of the issues is we have an ownership that I believe would be in favour of the sale. Part of their philosophy was to sign talent and sell it on at its financial peak. We've had some fantastic seasons out of Suarez, but do you sell him now and get his greatest value, or do you run the risk of that and his performances going down? They made the right call over Torres but I'd find it hard to believe they'd be in favour of destroying something they've managed to create in a faster time than expected.

Law of averages says you won't get 30 goals or anywhere near that from Suarez again

The law of averages says no such thing.

The evidence of decades of football says that barring injury Suarez will continue as a top level striker. Personally I think the only thing that will cause anything else is serious injury. I think there is definite potential for Suarez to make the step up to the Messi-Ronaldo level.

I'd pay 70m to bring him to Chelsea in a heartbeat. And I'm a pretty comited "No Dealing with the Scousers" voter.

Liverpools faith and mental toughness will be severly tested now.

They can't fall into the trap of thinking they've blown it, they must win at crystal palace and take it to the last game, because west ham are no pushovers and theres always that chance.......

Why would he? United fans want City to win the league.

He's not a United fan he's a Tyler fan. Supports whichever team gives him the most dramatic commentaries. At the moment he's jumped on the Liverpool bandwagon. But he doesn't need to make it so obvious.

Hope Neville's got over his boredom.

He made that pretty obvious when City scored against them at Anfield

Just hope that Citeh don't bottle it from here. I'm going to really hate today's result if both Liverpool and Citeh drop points in their remaining games.

I'm totally confident that Jose is the right man to lead CFC. I have less confidence that Roman has the sense to see that.

Today was pretty awful, but half expected. Atletico Madrid went down to a 2-0 defeat and they're on top of the world and on their way to a title, we're pretty messed up mentally and knew a title was beyond us anyway.
