Dear Mrs Keegan,
Your son has had a magnificent career in football. He achieved truly great things as a player. As a manager he was pretty good, but the truth is that he really didn't have the bottle to be a manager. That was reflected in the fact that time after time he did a runner when things weren't going well. I can understand that knowing your son lacked bottle to deal with the pressure of being a manager is upsetting for you, but it would be for the best to recognise the good things Kevin did, rather than deluding yourself like you are.
