People swoon over Barca' far too much. Playing in a poor league, where the top two dominate as much as they do. It's to there detriment, as they come unstuck when they play English sides who are able to defend, like Liverpool did a year or two back, and Utd kept them scoreless over 180 minutes last year, granted, I think they've improved this year, as a team and Messi too, but I do think at times we go overboard.

Defensively Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea are all struggling right now. In their current form Barca would beat all of em.

In what way are we struggling defensively? Our set piece defending is inconsistent, but other than that we're very sound defensively.

Apart from the Chelsea game, where were Liverpool struggling defensively? Apart from 8 ridiculous minutes against Bolton, when have Chelsea been struggling defensively?

Blackburn yesterday may as well not have turned up. The side they had out was probably the best they could manage but with the tactics (relentless 90min defending) anyone in the league would have got at least a point yesterday.

Allardyce did the same at The Emirates the other week & got the same result. He's very much a manager who targets certain games in the run in, and writes off others when he's in a scrap. I think yesterday, he wrote that one off before the bus pulled up. That said, I thought Liverpool were great, created lots of opportunities and played with purpose, not always seen when Steven Gerrard doesn't play.

City just dont have the depth or quality of squad to play two games a week at this stage of the season. As its very unlikely we'll win the EUFA Cup, missing out on a place for next year would be a blessing in disguise.
