I thought it was a good laugh, a decent light hearted piece ahead of a big week for City. To be fair the United fans calling it will never know the dark days City fans have gone through (we have too but to a lesser extent) it's easy when your club has had success as far back as you remember.

Wonder how the local fans will feel in 5 years time when the gloryhunters the club are actively seeking have taken their places in the stands/priced them out etc.

It's nowt to do with dark days or the rest of it. A club who claims to have total local loyal support in a city they think dominate has come out with the most cringeworthy thing ever aimed at a load of JCL's who have come out of the woodwork for Wembley, like city fans always do. Remember '99? Averaging something like 27,000 in the league and then moaning about the limited size of their Wembley allocation, which if memory serves was the largest ever given.

United come out with some awfulness but thankfully nothing ever that bad. Thank heavens we will be overshadowing them as usual by making it 19.

It always bemuses me how fans of other clubs don't see the inherent awfulness of city. They view them as some sort of benign idiot brother who is harmless and hard done too when they are much more sinister than anyone gives them credit for. Then when someone gets butchered these same people are the first on the news to say 'he always seemed like a nice lad to me, bit of a liar but always kept himself to himself.' Wrong!

I, as an outsider, think it's just a light hearted piece from the club. They know success will bring fans tagging along to their club beit abroad or here and it's a brief bit of City info but in a light heard, tongue in cheek form.

City fans must be thinking it's typical, the first time in how many years since they've won anything the day they could finally win a trophy it's the same day United clinch the league

Woah! I hope you're not including me in that, I might have defended that piece on their website but I can't stand City anyway. They're getting worse with the more money they spend, beating them on Saturday was brilliant, almost as good as beating the away earlier in the season.

Liverpool are seen in the same light you've just described too, people seem to wet themselves everytime they play. They're media darlings and now that pr*ck is back in charge it's even worse, so I know how you feel mate.

Agreed Liverpool are the same. It will all go tits up with Dalglish, he will probably backdoor it from stress in the end. He is another Keegan on the quiet.

That's what makes me laugh so many Liverpudlians lauding over Dalglish, they all forget how quickly he walked out last time. Newcastle fans do it everytime Keegan went back to them and he was a shambles every time too. I can't wait for this time next season when Liverpool get no closer to the league than this season. At least we have common ground in hating Liverpool and City
