Re: More betting chat.... : Mon Aug 16, 2010 7:29 pm
Hate it when betfair video doesn't work.

Heres mine for tomorrow

Juddmonte International Stakes -

Rip Van Winkle - 2/1

Don't really need to say anything about this one back to form behind Canford Cliffs last time was 1 length behind Sea The Star at just under this trip last year.

Cutlass Bay 33/1 E/W will be looking for a decent W/O price too

Very good race this and you could make a case for most of the field but like Cutlass Bay E/W who was unbeaten until that Curragh poor show when something was a miss, beat Cavalryman last year in a Group 2 then got an injury which ended its season and ruled it out for 11 months came by and beat two good types in Court Canibal an Celimene, then won a Group 1 win a clever win over Shalanaya with abit to spare who was 4 lengths behind Byword at Ascot, maybe it didn't go on the good to firm at Curragh so abit of rain might help, Godolphin have hit some form of late and Fallon who is getting his rides up lately has the spot.

Great Voltigeur Stakes

Rewilding 9/4

Third in the Derby ahead of Midas Touch off level weight gets 2lbs this time round should be fine with the trip and any cut in the ground

On Starspangledbanner at 11/4 for later in the week not made my mind up on the The Ebor though.

I wish

Arlequin @ 14/1 E/W in the last been running well at a nice weight and won over this CD this year.

Reckon Cavalryman could be tipped up tomorrow the way its price is falling could get 40/1 yesterday now as low as 14/1

95% sure that Cavalryman will be Tom Segal's Pricewise tip in the Post tomorrow.

Wire_85 has stole my thunder - great explanation of the reason why I'll be backing Cutlass Bay each-way and without the poor run last time out when he didn't appreciate the faster ground he'd be much shorter particularly given that both Chinchon (G1 winner since) and Celimene (close up in the GPD Deauville) in behind since, think at 33/1 there will be far far worse each-way bets but Byword for me will be my main win bet tomorrow.

Not going to be much of a "pricewise" left on Cavalryman at this rate

That 28/1 on Cutlass Bay W/O fav is cracking IMO

Fingers crossed I'll manage to bunk off work at around 1.45 tomorrow.

I fancy Rewilding as well. For the International I'm torn between Rip and Byword.

Byword will definitely be there staying on and doesn't mind a bit of cut in the ground either. IIRC Rip has never raced on anything officially worse than 'good'.

If Dick Turpin stays then he will trouble them as well though, only two I'm ruling out are Stimulation and Bushman. Both have served connections proudly but can't ever see either of them winning a race of this calibre.

As for Rewilding, he was a real eyecatcher at Epsom and finished like a train despite looking ill at ease for a lot of the race and races like this were always his next target en-route to a possible Leger tilt. Midas Touch will take a lot of beating though. Total Command could be the E/W bet at around 12/1 though.

Can't see any value in backing anything e/w in the Juddmonte as you're basically backing an outsider to finish ahead of Rip Van Winkle, Twice Over and Byword and I just can't see it happening.. Dick Turpin apart, I couldn't back anything else at even 100/1 e/w. :?

Looking at both Monterosso and Ted Spread in the earlier race as possibly a bit of value...

Dunno about that...if the loyalist football supporters the world as ever seen (think that's how the song goes ;-) ) have their way. I have been laughing at the idiots ringing talk sport this morning calling for his head! God love em :-)
