Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

True.....Win for United, but moral victory for City.

Fair to say that the sending-off was the difference, City looked the better team in the main and as long as they survive Yaya's absence without too much damage, look nailed on for the league.

United need a couple of high profile signings, but its obvious by the Scholes's 'signing' they have no cash to do so....Desperate is a fair word to describe it.

No moral victory for City at all. Classic ABU's clutching at straws. We should have had another penalty at 3-1, if that's given then game over. A free-kick that shouldn't have been given and a defensive balls up from us gave them a glimmer of hope.

Moral victory? Go and have a sit down down with a mug of Horlicks.
Scholes hit over 50 passes with a 96% completion rate. Still got it but at one point the centre midfield had a combined age of 75.

It's always interesting that United fans slate (rightly) Liverpool fans for their self-pitying and defensive ways, when under pressure from the media or other team's fans, yet are equally as defensive with all this ABU nonsense when people give opinions on their side.

Simple fact about today was that the referee massively swung the game United's way with a debatable decision....United took advantage very well, but then were hanging on against a well organised, very good City side.....I know its all hindsight but 11 v 11 and City would have been likely winners and this victory for United is probably more a temporary crack covering than any significant change in United's fortunes this season.

49 of which were sideway 5 metre passes, the type that Phil Neville taught him back in the 90's....

Jonny Evans sends his regards.

The 10 men of City gave a great account of themselves 2nd half, yes still a defeat but the fight they put up will stand them in good stead for the title run in.

As for United im guessing a home draw next round v lower league opposition...and say hello to the reserve side

True, don't expect Man Yoo fans to admit it though.

City are already ahead of them and they got hugely lucky today.
