We are apparently interested in Brandon Lloyd aswell according to reports, he's gonna want a big contract and we have to sort Welker out with his so I can't see it TBH.
Mort said the Pats were interested but it cooled "significantly" when they heard Lloyd's contract demands...although with BB being BB that probably means he signs today
As much as he would improve the team, I'd rather give the money to Branch & Welker and bring in a safety instead.
Hallelujah - we finally stop trying to be the Rams "Greatest Show on Turf" offence and go back to giving teams a healthy dose of Michael Turner, and look miles better as a result.
We're not going to be successful if Ryan has to throw 40 times a game. We're a ball control offence primarily, that's what got us such a good record last season and we need to stick to it even when Jones comes back.
Nice to see van Gorder being a bit more aggressive with the defensive playcalls too. Kudos to Corey Peters as well for that one handed pick of the attempted screen pass, nice skills big fella.

I'm not interested in the slightest in Lloyd TBH, he's not exactly young and has had 1(?) good season in his career, I'd rather pay Welker and draft a beast of a reciever in the 1st round/trade for one, obviously this won't happen but I can hope

I think Lloyd's always been good - he's had a reputation throughout his career as someone who made highlight reel catches, but I think he was just unlucky to be playing in some poor offenses with the likes of San Francisco and Washington and struggled for consistency because of it. He might be 30, but I reckon he's got a good 4 years left in him at the very least - I can't imagine him having taken that much punishment throughout his career and I don't remember him getting any major injuries.

At Chicago and San Fran he was known as a player who wouldn't go over the middle to make the hard catch. taking plays off etc. Thanks for Laurent Robinson by the way, doing okay for us.

Yeah I remember that .gif that was doing the rounds where the ball was coming straight at him and instead of catching it, he ducked out the way of the ball for an incompletion
Robinson was pretty poor for us last season, but he was coming back from an injury and I think some people might have been expecting a bit too much from him. He was looking like our number 1 receiver two years ago and started well before getting a season ending injury. Not surprised he's playing well with Austin, Bryant and Witten in the same team because he does have some talent.
How good is Aaron Rodgers? on a different level to any quarterback in the NFL at the moment(even Brady and Romo). rodgers has a passer rating of 141.0 when throwing outside the pocket. Unbelievable.

Yet I'd still rather have Brady and the last drive last night showed why. Not to mention all the yards he's put up this year.
As for Romo...not even a top 15 QB.
