I thought that the Hull City player was a complete booty with the way he shoved him as he went past. I understand why Pardew was peed off at that.
I think it's a standard football players moronic headbutt which from a player is a red card and a 3 match ban.
It is more serious because Pardew is a manager and really should have grown out of that nonsense.
Pardew has previous, the worst of which was the stupid little shove on the lino/4th official. I think most of Pardew's arguments have been 6 of one 1/2 dozen of the other, but he has been involved in too many.
I did think NUFC might have sacked him because of gross misconduct. But that was partly based on the rumour they were on the verge of sacking him anyway. I think their large fine and warning shows they aren't going to sack him and the rumours were press nonsense.
I reckon he's sitting in the stands for a couple of seasons.
After reading that back a couple of seasons in the stands is too long. He's still got a job to do and sitting him in the stands for so long is too much. 10 game touchline ban maybe, with a 6 month ban if he is involved in another large incident.
