The defender would have tackled him legally had the ball not been intercepted moments from impact.

Ashton's reaction suggested he wanted to fight and that's what he received. He shouldnt have any complaints.

Bring back the biff,could you imagine that happening in a football match.there would be thousand pound fines.season long bans.and a month of back pages in the newspapers to contend with.rugby whether it union or league is hard.take the hit get on with it and the next time you see him hit him harder.That is why our sport is the greatest game to watch.

Yet to see anyone comment on the other 79 minutes 45 seconds. The game itself must have been very poor viewing.
