Liverpool have retained a degree of dignity by admitting defeat now but their reputation has been tarnished by this whole farce.
The statements from Liverpool and Suarez are very "woe is me" though - no apology or admittance that what he saiid was wrong.
Have you missed most of what's gone on, Asim? Liverpool and Suarez continue to deny Evra's accusations, why would anybody continually denying something come out and admit what they said was wrong, whilst they continue to deny the majority of what has apparently been said?
I'm glad the club done this, I've read loads over the past few days about possible actions the club could have taken, but there weren't many grounds for appeal and it ultimately would have dragged and dragged for the sake of a possible reduction in the ban.
As for the aftermath of this, well, it all boils down to one thing really, who do you believe in what was 'probably' said? Me personally, I think Suarez was wrong in his use of the word 'negro', but that's about all I can say, as the rest is based on 'probability' and opinion. Suarez will continue to maintain his innocence, Evra will maintain he was abused, exchanges will continue to go on over this but I'll leave the debates at that, unless Mark wants me on my knees bowing to him or something.

With Mark's fellatios nature, it may be 'or something'

Me: I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
knockersbumpMKII: Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm

What? Liverpool adopting a stance of self pity? Surely not?
Suarez doesn't need to defend himself. He doesn't need to maintain his stance. It's been proven by the only body that will ever address the question that he racially abused Evra. Unless he changes his mind and appeals, that is now a matter of fact and public record.
Now, as was noted by the Commission, that doesn't necessarily mean that Suarez is racist. However, considering that he:-
- called Evra negro 7 times - changed his story on a number of occasions - has a history of being a horrible little man (see biting)
