What an arrogant fool Ferguson is. He makes 10 changes and his 'new breed' cannot break down a defense lead by a 40 year old.
Fergie has a history of making wholesale changes. The defence was never worried, so it's good to give fringe players like Brown and Smalling a run out. They shouldn't be anywhere near the team on Sunday.

United were terrible, 10 changes is the root cause of that and also the fact that none of the changes made the team better. Is the Champions League now not as important as the Premier League or was he just showing a bit of distain for Rangers and the Scottish leagues?
Resting players is not an answer as it's so soon in the season that not even the 35/36 year olds in the United team would be needing a rest.
I can understand why he made the changes. We've been poor in the League so far this season, so we need our top players fully fit for Sunday's game against Liverpool. Even at this stage of the season, it's looking like a must win to give us any hope of winning the League.
He knew that the team he played wasn't going to lose to Rangers, and there should've been enough to beat them. But, fair play to Rangers, they did what most teams try to do at OT and packed the midfield and defended solidly at it came off. In the first game in Europe it's important not to lose. We should still qualify pretty easily from this group.
