I think United are less likely to win the league than City or Chelsea. But they're also less likely to trail off in 3rd. They're just so difficult to shake off. Now that they've got their difficult start over they'll accumulate points, avoiding draws with late winners.

The year they won the title after losing 1-4 to Liverpool, they were poor against the top teams but picked up 58 points out of 60 against the bottom 10. I think they'll have a similar season this time. Might not win the league but will be clinging on like limpets at the end.

Lost 1-6 to Citeh and 1-4 to the redsh*tes under Fergie and still only lost the title in stoppage time and won the title respectively, people, especially the Scousers, writing us off as 'sh*t' make me laugh. Had a tough start, playing Liverpool and Citeh away, and Chelsea at home, so i'm hardly worried yet.

That said, i'm liking the look of Spurs so far, and Arsenal, Ozil seems to have made a big difference to them.

Bit embarrassing for Liverpool that tonight isn't it? United's reserves + Rooney comfortably beating their first choice side?

Consecutive defeats, haven't scored in as long as Roy Cropper, a manager making ridiculously cringy soundbites all week. Crisis at Anfield?

No crisis as far as I can see - They will improve, though they will still be off the top 4 pace by a fair few points.

The main worry I'd have if I was a Liverpool fan is that Gerrard is looking increasingly shot by the week - He was a virtual passenger tonight. Rogers needs to be brave and look to replace him asap.

It was tongue in cheek based on the press' approach to United this week.

I agree with you on Gerrard, the more you see of Ross Barkley, the older and more redundant the old master gets.

It seems that rather than Suarez or Gerrard, the man that is most crucial to the new Liverpool is Coutinho. They are a 40% possession team without him. He seems to bind them together. I also agree with Gary Neville in thinking that their fullbacks are actually terrible as well.

What is Carragher doing on Sky? He has no place there, is woefully partisan and has no real insight to add. Jamie Redknapp is as smooth as silk, Neville actually looks to analyse things and raises a few interesting points.

Must admit it was very funny when Neville was biting his tongue, despite obviously wanting to really rip into Jose Enrique!!

Although it would never happen (I hope!!), imagine how Leighton Baines could improve that Liverpool side, playing that system??..... With a player like him there, Gerrard replaced, and Coutinho fit, Liverpool wouldn't be far off the top 2 or 3.

I assume this is also tongue in cheek? I haven't watched much of Carra so far but Redknapp is as bad as they come. Barely any insight, always daft remarks and assumptions. Tonight he said it's not Suarez's first game because he's been playing for Uruguay, I'm not sure if he was saying it to say he shouldn't be rusty, or simply just pointing it out, but nearly everybody saying it's his first game clearly meant for Liverpool. It's not rocket science, but Redknapp seems to make a point of wasting air by saying it. Not only do I hate the crap he comes out with, I despise his love for English players and his sheer genius at knowing where these players should play. He regularly told Benitez how he should manage Liverpool and use Gerrard, this was whilst his dad was liquidating Pompey and Gerrard was playing the best stuff of his career.

I'll try and watch a bit more of Carragher, his accent seemed out of place when I first watched him but I imagine he'll gradually get better, but I'd rather hear anything Carragher has to say over the bullsh*t Redknapp comes out with.

Tyler's comment that Enrique was playing well made me laugh.

I don't think Neville and Carragher work together. They're both playing the same "recently retired pro" role. Competing with each other for the best insights. Like a team with two goalkeepers. I'm also becoming bored with the gadgets Sky gives them to play with.
