As it is, Lukaku is a good signing for Everton, they clearly need a goalscorer, as Jelevic's early Everton form turned out to be something of a false dawn.

I said to all my everton supporting friends when Jelavic signed (and them proclaiming him to be the answer they need) that he will have a good few months, start off like a house on fire scoring and then tail off before turning into a donkey. They didn't believe me. But I'm sure they do now. It happened at Rangers and it's now happened at Everton. Next season he may get a few goals early doors, but then he will tail off again. He is not consistent enough. He was knocking them in left, right and centre in the SPL, but that's because it's a god awful league (that has managed to get even worse).

Just not as great value as a month ago.

As a defensive midfielder we've seen him dominate, and I mean dominate, City's midfield of Silva and Yaya. Pushed further up he's better than most strikers in the world at receiving balls, holding them up and bringing other players through. He could score plenty at United.

Everton's record against the "new" Man City is exceptional. Man United's third game after the international break is at the Etihad. We'll see whether Moyes and Fellaini are able to transfer their skill at facing Citeh from Everton to Man United. Personally I think it will hit home just how different operating at Man United is to Everton.

I've said it before on here, but does Fellaini have the right 'skill set' to succeed at United, or any big club for that matter?

He is what he is. He's a huge presence, he works hard, he roughs teams up and he's developed his play going forward loads, but he's also pretty sluggish, isn't good at dribbling and he isn't the 'playmaker' United fans long for, is he? At Everton everything went through him, partly because their strikers were so bad and partly because they play/played long ball footy. Fellaini might work out for United, but I can't see him ever replicating the form/importance that seen him succeed at Everton.

Ozil and Fellaini kind of seem the wrong way round to me. Man Utd are more in need of a creative playmaker, Arsenal lack a physical presence in midfield.

My thoughts exactly.

Ozil doesn't give anything arsenal don't have already, he just gives it better.

Fellaini does nothing to address uniteds problems in midfield. They still need guile and creativity.

This transfer window has changed nothing in terms of the title.

Still chelsea to win for me.

It's not a question of dislike. They frustrate me. I'm not even an arsenal fan and they frustrate me.

Seeing them plod along, with the same problems year after year after year is irritating when they could be an extra team pushing for the title.

God knows what arsenal fans think of it all.

Can't we just fire off the international fixtures now? It's like having to watch Conference football after the EPL. I'm more interested in seeing the new signings play, specifically Ozil and Lukaku at their respective teams. Watching England, even with The White Pele, just don't compare.

I wouldn't mind watching England if their games were shown on any other broadcast channel apart from ITV. It's the same crap every time. Boring Chiles presenting, boring Tyldesley/Townsend commentating, boring Southgate analysing. The only saving grace is Keane, and sometime Lee Dixon.

It's just a boring presentation. I just hope when the rights come back up, either BBC or BT Sport outbid ITV.

I fell out of love with watching England when i was about 16, (i'm 28 now). Don't like the circus around it, i don't like half the players, i wouldn't WANT half of them to have success. I watch the England games pretty much hoping we don't win.

Players don't care about England games, pulling out here there and everywhere when they feel like it!

TV doesn't care about it with the cr*p coverage and p155 poor presenters they have for the show!

So why should the fans spend their hard earned money going to watch a mickey poor team at Wembley, or waste their time watching it on the box??
