Why did Carroll go down, he could have scored? Pepe deserved the red but Perch... deary me!

Surprised City dropped points home to Sunderland, camp seems a bit disturbed right now which won't help.

Blackburn away is gonna be tough, tipped us to win 1-0 but, not confident.

Balotelli and Kolorov will probably feel a bit sluggish if they're training in the morning, the former recently tweeted saying they were up watching Wrestlemania together. :D

Not sure if it is his official twitter, there seems to be a craze at the minute for people making up stories about him, so nothing surprises me with his antics.

The last thing we need to do at City is get rid of Mancini.

If we don't win the league I agree it will be a dissapointment but just because money has been spent it doesn't mean we've a god given right to win anything.

The key is stability, we haven't had that for 20 years. Mancini has had us playing great football this year and has proven strong enough to deal with egos. (Tevez was the one who came back with his tail between his legs).

It's gone wrong since Feb but hopefully the team will learn and grow. Every year since Mancini has been in charge we've improved. I see no reason why that wouldn't continue.

I agree, with the caveat that we started losing form from late December.

It will be disappointing to finish the season without any trophies but the current team is much better than it was 12 months ago, and that team was much better than it was 24 months ago...

I don't think we'll be big net spenders in the summer but I expect there'll be some turnover in players. Tevez, Balotelli, Dzeko, De Jong, Johnson, Kolo Toure, Kolarov could all be going, plus the existing loaned out players. But the core of the team (Hart, Richards, Kompany, Yaya, Silva & Aguero) is exceptionally strong and getting better. And players like Zabaleta, Barry, Milner, Lescottt, Clichy are well worth hanging on to.

Mancini has had his failings (overplaying Silva in the first half of the season being the main one) but I'd be very disappointed if the owners didn't stick with him. But he does need to address our poor away form and get more pace into the team.

You can tell it's bad at Liverpool as Roddy has managed to avoid coming on to verbally assassinate everything I write about them ;)

As for City, as far as world class teams go, they aren't that great. Despite spending so much they have managed to end up with a wafer thin squad. Hart is wonderful, Kompany and Lescott are pretty good. Beyond those three in those positions? Nothing at all. Almost guaranteed points lost when Kompany in particular. In midfield Yaya and Silva are great, beyond those two? Pretty much nothing, Barry is awful, I don't like Milner and Johnson is never given a proper run in the side. Up front his problem is simply the amount of messing about he does. Aguero is his best striker so why doesn't he just play him every week like United do Rooney and Arsenal do RVP? Why bother with Balotelli when even he's admitting he's a complete liability?

Begging????? Love to know where you've got that from.

We tried to sell him but nobody would pay our asking price so City refused to be forced to sell him cheaply.

We weren't paying him during the strike and when he decided to return by law had to start paying him again. It would be idiotic and stubborn to not play him, whatever the result of the title.

city were one of the few clubs who could afford financially to make a stance with Tevez and show that player power won't be tolerated. Sadly the stance of Mancini meekly letting him back into the fold (after losing a 5 point lead) has ensured that the current era of player power (at all clubs) will continue.

I'd only be repeating the same old stuff. It's bad at the moment, but we're all behind Kenny and I don't think there's anything wrong in supporting a man who's been adored at our club for over thirty years. I'm worried that the owners will ask him to leave because the players just aren't reacting at the moment. We've played well for half of the season but the drop since Suarez was banned has been huge, there have been performances in that time, but the past couple of games have been poor.

As I said before, I'd like to see Kenny here next season, but if things carry on like this, I can't see it happening. The owners shown when they came in that they're not afraid to pull the trigger.

I was all in favour of making a stance, the trouble is I'm not sure how it would have worked except in his favour. There was a compelling case for sacking him after Munich or when he went AWOL. The likely consequence of that would be that he'd now be playing for Milan on a free transfer (having negotiated a large signing on fee), whilst his lawyers prepare his claim against City for wrongful dismissal/ breach of contract.

Or we could have let him stew in the reserves for the rest of his contract, except that under the rules he would have been allowed to walk away from his contract having not played a specified number of games.

City have certainly "lost" over Tevez and I really wish he wasnt playing. But I'm glad that the club didnt allow him to exploit the situation for his financial benefit. I dont think it could be said that he has "won". He has lost several millions and he still hasnt been able to engineer his preferred move. He's not the greatest advert for player power. But it will take more than one club, no matter how wealthy, to end it.

Reading through this thread it seems to be very Liverpool FC obsessed. Why is that? They are obviously not a threat to anyone so why waste posts talking about them. It's odd.
