Yeah it looked awful on the video. Brilliant effort by all the medical team concerned. Well done to the player who cleared the area around him as well. He clearly wasn't first aid trained so did the right thing and got the lad some privacy and gave the medics room to work. Wouldn't surprise me if he's also picked up some sort of jaw injury as he hit the ground with a fair whack.

How come Wayne Rooney isnt on the ballon d'or shortlist? Im sure if you listened to RLFANS armchair fans they would have you believe he's as good as Leo Messi? At least thats what has been written in the football threads

And how come there are only 2 players from the worlds best league? (Gyan doesnt count as he wasnt playing in the worlds best league during the period that this award is supposed to be for)

Did anyone actually say that? He's not on the ballon d'Or list because he hasn't been good enough, clearly. Still doesn't mean Rooney is as good or better than some on the list. Right now the best striker in European and one of the best in the world is Eto'o, he's in great form but he's not in it because it's this season's form.

That says it all. A player as poor as Gyan is in the running for this 'award'. The Balon D'or is a shambles.

Well of course that's why we've got him to re-sign.

Obviously, Gill/Fergie will be hoping that they manage to:

d) get an experienced manager to replace Fergie.

If all four of those happen, there's every chance that Rooney will decide to stay, if not we have five years to get a decent price for him and pay a bit of interest off.
