Not keen on Goldikova at 7f. She ran in a 7f race last October and I had a few grand on, only to see the trip was evidently too short and she easily got beat going for the line.

Paco Boy was regarded as a '7f horse' for ages, until he won at a mile despite excellent efforts in defeat. If he is ever going to beat the wonder-mare, this is his day.

I would be very interested in Paco Boy as Hughes nearly did the mare last last but gave it just ahead start but I have read today "particularly as the ground will be to his advantage" and also "I don't want it too soft".

So you hear "Rain turned the ground at Deauville to ‘very soft to holding’ on Saturday morning, but the sun emerged in the afternoon. A mixture of sunshine and showers is forecast for Sunday"

How good does the Juddmonte International look on Tuesday? Rip Van Winkle, Byword, Twice Over and Dick Turpin along with Cavalryman!

Big fan of Cavalryman with the Arc 3rd but think it needs 1m4f not 1mf2 at an E/W price ex Fabre horse Cutlass Bay looks decent if there is some soft in the ground cracking race though, already on Starspangledbanner @ 11/4 for Fridays big sprint race.
