Funny how it was only last week we were discussing how Scousers react when accused of something.
If you say the place is crap. They don't articulately point out the reasons that it's not, they counteract with "well it's not as crap as Manchester" as if that somehow is the definitive answer.
If you say the girls dress like tarts, they don't point out the beautiful looking ones, they say, "well they're not as bad as the ones in Manchester", even though they clearly are and much more.
If you say they have no sense of humour, rather than prove they have and give banter back they shout at you in grumpy fashion and say "we're funnier than you, you ####", as if that somehow proves their point.
So what happens when Suarez is accused of racism. Classics like the following get trotted out left, right and centre wherever I look.
1) "Well he's not as bad as John Terry"
2) "He didn't realise he was using an offensive term"
3) "It was racist but have you never said anything racist, and I bet you don't think your racist".
Nothing ever in the history of mankind is their fault. Any old excuse will be trotted out, no matter how lame. And they wonder why everyone hates them.
