Rumour has it that Suarez is going to sign a new contract this week. Of course it's a rumour, but if he does stay you'd have to admire how they've dug their heels in and basically told him he's staying.
There's still 5 days to go. Anything can happen between now and the end of the window.
I think Liverpool holding onto Suarez will be remarkable, but I think they've been helped massively so far by the fact it has only been Arsenal who've only registered an interest. TBH I can't really understand why Chelsea aren't looking at Suarez, and I think Real should be considering him as well as a cheaper option to Bale.
Arsenal are a poor option for Suarez and I'm still not convinced that Wenger was doing anything more than BSing his fans by chasing him. I think that Arsenal have believed that there was a 40m clause in his contract and thought they could nick him for that. Now it's emerged there is no clause their interest has virtually disappeared.
If he buckles down then him and Sturridge will be a good pairing, much to LGJM's annoyance, no doubt.
The Chelsea support is mixed about Sturridge. There's a lot of people who think he's not good enough for us, think he has a bad attitude and don't care now he's gone.
I think there's a significant minority of CFC that likes Sturridge, thinks that CFC handled him awfully and that the club need an absolute kicking for selling him to Liverpool. That's the group I'm in.
So I'm really torn between wanting him to come good and the fact that that if he does come good he's coming good for you lot.
I'm really mad at CFC for giving you Sturridge. I really need him to do a Cantona at the United fans next week and get a long ban to save me from being very peed off this season with every goal he scores for you.
Moyes doesn't have a great record against Liverpool but he's got a better squad to work with now, i can see Utd nicking it 2-1. If liverpool DO win though... i expect the optimism will grow and grow, until they draw 0-0 at home to someone like Hull
I don't want to get all Keegan, but I'd love it if Moyes lost to us tomorrow and then lost to you at the weekend.
