City, Etihad & MCC have all done well out of the deal. None of them could have made it work without the other two. A good deal all round

Even though he's already raised concerns about PSG and Monaco's spending of late? But no, he hates England doesn't he, because he's French and he's jealous.

The fact that FFP is not a robust set of rules, invites avoidance and seems entirely designed solely to ensure that the haves remain the haves for evermore is by the by.

Re: Football Chat Thread PART II : Thu Jul 25, 2013 12:00 pm
Luis Suarez on 30/05/13:

"My family have suffered and things have gone beyond the limits.

"I am tired of it. My daughter and my wife have suffered. I'm not prepared to continue suffering at the hands of the English journalists.

"I suffered a lot as a kid to get where I am just to be attacked unfairly by the English press. They haven't appreciated me as a player. They've just judged my attitude."

Now he wants to talk to Arsenal. Another example of a brain dead footballer who can't help but contradict themselves. He'll win as much at Arsenal as he will at Liverpool. Anyway, it serves Liverpool right for sticking by him through all this, and this is how he pays them back. Probably won't learn their lesson though.

Sooner he f***s off, the better.

"Cisse, a Muslim, had previously pulled out of Newcastle's pre-season tour after telling the club he was not prepared to promote the money lending company.

"However, after a week of talks, both sides are satisfied with the outcome and Cisse is now available to play for Newcastle once again.

Yeah I'd just seen that Catpiss had backed down. I wonder how far he'd have taken if he hadn't been shown to be a lying moron.

"Now he wants to talk to Arsenal. Another example of a brain dead footballer who can't help but contradict themselves. He'll win as much at Arsenal as he will at Liverpool. He thought he was going to get a move to Real Madrid. Saying that the media were driving him out means that it wasn't his fault, it was all the media so the fans should blame the media.

Going to Arsenal will mean he gets more stick from Liverpool fans. But that won't be his fault either. It will just be LFC fans fault for not realising he's a pro footballer and just bettering his career.

I'll be disappointed if Suarez goes to Arsenal. I'll actually be surprised as I didn't think they were serious and I didn't think he'd go there. But it still doesn't make Arsenal contenders. They've just got a good replacement for RVP.

So, Cisse has been whining and whining for days and days that the new sponsor is against his "religious beliefs" and he won't be wearing the shirt, yet as soon as a picture is shown of him entering/leaving a casino, then the matter has since been resolved.

How coincidental.

Only the most idiotic of fans will side with Suarez and blame the media. Yes, he's been getting lots of stick from them, but if he didn't a**e around so much and do things to warrant these headlines, then he'd have no issues with the media. They can only report on what they see or hear. If he's so passionate about the English media harassing him so much, the what the f**k is he wanting to go to Arsenal for??

Only because of the crap he spouted about the English media. If he goes to Arsenal, then so be it. I wouldn't be a***d, just as long as he's away from LFC.

Oh, he is a footballer alright, there is no doubt about that. In certain context though, he's far from professional, but then, the same could be said for a high number of other followers.

As for him bettering his career by moving to Arsenal.......really? Yes, he'll be at a different club with different players and different coaches and a different manager, and if he goes he'll be potentially playing Champions League football, but is he really going to win the PL or CL with them? Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea will be the dominant forces in the PL this season, with Spurs again on the fringes. Arsenal only just scraped into 4th last year.

It will be a surprising move, there is no doubt about that, but since the guy has no brains, then a potential move like this doesn't really surprise me. That's why I'm surprised that Rooney has been linked with Arsenal. Surely he has a plethora of clubs that would be interested in him that is a much better option than the Gunners.

The only thing I'm more concerned about is that if we get £50m for Suarez, Rodgers is going to blow it on complete and utter horses**t and set us back a further 5-10 years.

Liverpool FC and their fans were still blaming the FA and the media for their bias when Suarez got his last ban.

If he's so passionate about the English media harassing him so much, the what the f**k is he wanting to go to Arsenal for??

It was never about the English media. But because he thought he was probably going to Spain he decided to put his "persecution" from the media as his reason for going.

I agree TBH. He's just going from the chasing group of possible EL teams to the bottom of the CL qualifiers. It's a step up, but it's not the step up he wanted.

The problem for him is that he opened his mouth about moving and made it so that he really has to move away.

Man United would prefer to sell to Arsenal than Chelsea. Whoever they sell to, it would be better for them if there was competition to buy him.

Rooney doesn't come across as someone who will be able to live and work in a non-English environment.

The only thing I'm more concerned about is that if we get £50m for Suarez, Rodgers is going to blow it on complete and utter horses**t and set us back a further 5-10 years.

I think you should bring Torres back.
