Suprised by this move even though the Rangers have been struggling of late as Renney is one of the most successful coaches for the Rangers in win%. Lets face it with the wealth & players they have had available they continually flatter to deceive. Wonder when the Rangers will realise the problems in the club may due to Sather, who for me is living on what was acheived when he was at Edmonton in the 80's as he has done little at MSG.

And Torterella's first job was to bring back Sean Avery and get rid of a fans favourite in Peter Prucha.

He may aswell start the rebuilding process for next season because I don't think the Rangers will be making the playoff's this year.

Blackhawks made the playoffs friday for the 1st time in 7 years

It's probably a little early to hope we can win the cup this year but Kane,Toews etc will benefit from having the experience this season and take that into the next few years when they should be challenging for the cup.

Hawks take another step to a home playoff berth with a 1-0 win in overtime against the BJ's. Only downside is it looks like we will be up against the Canucks.

Another important win for the Blackhawks in Nashville beating the Preds 4-2. Still too tight to cal as to who the Hawks will face in the 1st round of the playoffs with the Canucks beating the Flames 4-1 to go level on points with Calgary for 3rd. Hawks hopefully can secure 4th to claim the home advantage.

The Hawks lost in the SO last night so they now need just 1 more point to get 4th place and home advantage in the 1st round of the playoffs.
