Chargers won last night, but were hardly impressive. When that opening kick off was returned I could've sobbed, but they sorted themselves out in defence and gave the stuttering offence time in possesion to win it. Apart from one AP run the D was superb. Fair play to Manuskey. Spikes and Sanders slotted in like the class acts they are and I was very happy with first round pick Luiget and Donald Butler who missed all last season with injury alongside Takeo.
We had Mike Scrifes - our punter - kicking for us as Kaeding injured himself trying to tackle Percy Harvin on that first kick return.
Glad it looks like the Cheifs are exactly what I thought they would be this season. They'll be lucky to get 4 wins this year. SD's biggest challengers for the West is Oakland for me.
Don't you lot usually start rubbish anyway?
Speaking of starting rubbish, watched last night again. It won't be that bad again all season, literally nothing went right in the entire first half. Collins is obviously a big downgrade on Manning (who isn't?) but on occasions the pocket held up and he showed what he can do. I think the Colts' brutal schedule will end up being the main reason why we're watching the postseason this time around....
Still, one of Peyton's major weapons was he could see a blitz from a mile away, Collins can't seem to do that.
