That doesn't surprise me at all. I said when they were awarded it that it would be hard to convince people to travel to a lot of the games and it's proved true. The best thing they could do is extend the cheap ticket offers to locals to get the grounds full.

An England fan would be mad to travel there for the World Cup. I've been there a lot and you don't feel safe at times, you always feel it's about to explode into violence and you really can't travel around showing you are a tourist over there. There will be murders, there will probably be attacks on supporters and on teams.

Ricardo has gone to hospital to see how bad the damage is and Avram has gone with him.

Ricardo may not play again this season. I thought the challenge merited a yellow card but I only had half an eye on the incident when it happened.

How many supporters died during the 1995 RU World Cup?

TBH I don't really care if the tournament isn't a massive financial success. SA has responded to the challenge with some magnificent stadiums. I think the South African population can make the football World Cup into a far better spectacle than the RUWC was, and from memory the RUWC was a magnificent success.

Me: I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.

knockersbumpMKII: Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm

Indeed. I was listening to it on the radio and just praying Mancini would give Moyes the rope to hang him with. Moyes towering over him must have terrified him. I loved his press conference "I am sorry if I make a mistake. I am sorry."

Although he did lose his cool I like Mancini. Compared with the arrogance Hughes displayed he's a breath of fresh air.

Moyes again though comes up smelling of roses. Midweek he said Citeh have no team and basically called them out as mercenaries who don't care about the club they play for. That was displayed tonight as they gave up knocking on Jagielka's door whilst Everton remained solid and disciplined to the end. A lot has been said about de Jong this season, but in the two games against Everton he's been terrible. Osman, Pienaar, Cahill and Arteta is a midfield that just shouldn't work. The midgets should really be eased out of it by a competitive Premier League midfield, but they were able to boss it.

Loved Rodwell's flash of skill for Arteta's goal. If United or Chelsea scored goals like that and the one he scored at the weekend they wouldn't shut up about it for months. Arteta not making the Spain squad for the World Cup shows how poor England are. He'd stroll into any of the midfield positions for England.

There was nothing in the incidents in the Chelsea game at all. The booking was the right call and the Sturridge one was nothing.

Slagging off De Jong? Calling city mercenaries? Enfield Exile's head is going to explode when he reads this post. The 'very' count in his reply is going to be sky high. You might even distract him enough so that he doesn't mention United, Michael Carrick or something related to out of town supporters.

Seen the Moyes v Mancini square-up a few times now. TBH I'm on Mancini's side on this. Moyes is being an ar5e and keeping the ball when Citeh are wanting to put in a throw in. Mancini goes in an grabs the ball off him, so Moyes squares up to him.

Moyes knew what he was doing when he was holding the ball back. He then acted like a council estate princess when Mancini went and grabbed the ball.

Don't think either of them should have been sent off though. The ref should have just told them to stop acting like children and carried on with the game.

Mancini left his technical area to physically assault the other manager. his touchline ban should be indefinite. Moyes was about to hand the ball over when Mancini comes flying in.

FA Investigation??? FFS!

Moyes said: 'Next time I won't catch the ball. I will let it run off down the tunnel. That would have wasted more time.

'I wasn't doing anything on purpose. I don't know why I was sent off. And I, by the way, wasn't the one waving imaginary yellow cards around trying to get people booked.'

So he was still acting like a child when being interviewed after the game.
