How difficult would it be though for the ECB to schedule CC rounds so they start the day after a Test match? That way whoever misses out of from the 12/13 for England can return to their county before the game starts.
Can't agree with this 'penalised' issue.....Its a thing that has gone on for donkey's years.
Back in the day, when Championship games ran Wed-Fri and Sat-Tues, an unneeded player would simply have to miss a match and then play in the weekend game, it was no big problem.
Now we have to believe that a club like Yorkshire are that short of players that they must wangle Tim Bresnan into the line up, on day 2??....
It is a farce, and in my opinion goes against the spirit of the game, plus it must be a killer for the poor lad who has to drop out....That doesn't exactly build a lad's confidence does it?
