Agree especially at those sort of ante post prices, taking a chance at 33/1 is one thing but taking similar odds to this year on him being fit and firing this time next year is a very risky business.

Doubt anything will win as easily as she did today but his battle to get fit has proved most worthwhile and fair play to him (and indeed Choc Thornton also) for that.

hopefully hes as comfortable on kauto star! You can never back against that horse and with walsh back on board I fancy kauto to regain the gold cup!

Bet it woulda been a nice dividend too, with Cue Card and Medermit unplaced favourites, not to mention Sunnyhillboy and the fancied Menorah.

Well, it paid 60, so if GE stayed on his feet at his price of 13/2 I would say it woulda been a fair bit smaller as I imagine he woulda been a popular choice.

Even went for Tullamore Dew in the last aswell.

Think I'm up by a nice sum after day 1 without any winners.
A far better start than last year for me so pleased.



And I think we can safely say Ruby showed the SPOTY how to win today. Geraghty and Choc had a good day aswell.
