If he'd said this on TV he'd deserve to be fired. No doubt about it. But an off-air comment between blokes talking about women? No way do you go for that. Be a man and stand up for yourself.

Cant say I've ever heard anyone speaking about women in terms of "smash it" before. Seems to me that the only men who would talk about women like that would be men who dont like women.

It's just been announced Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar will retire from football at the end of the season.

Anyone heard the rumour about Gary Neville replacing Gray? Ties in with a rumour that I heard about Neville and Fergie having a set to 2 weeks ago and Neville not being seen since around the club since. The people I've spoke to weren't sure whether it was a cooling off period or he'd been given the bullet. We will see.

The obvious choice should be Ray Hudson, he's a world class commentator, whilst his understanding of the game stretches beyond man marking and a fetish for Fergie.

If Sky want to add a bit of class back to restore their image, Ray is the obvious choice.

Neville might eventually make a good co-commentator but how can he jump straight from player to a replacement for Gray? How could he be objective in a United v City/Liverpool/Chelsea/Arsenal game whilst all his mates and enemies are still playing?

Would'nt he need a couple of years doing Championship matches, firstly to learn the job and secondly to become more detached?
