So they should - if the bet stated, next premier league manager to leave/be sacked

then MON has been the 'next manager....' since the market was open at that point. the bet wasn't opened as 'first premier league manager to leave/be sacked when the season starts'.

Skybet had O'neill at the begining of the day at 14s. Then to 4/7 during the day. This (to me) means that their market was at any time before or during the PL season

I concur ... we need to understand if VC's market was the same (i.e from the point the book was formed and not from the start of the PL season) although I fully expect that it was and in which case they should pay out.

The wording of the market was 'next manager' as opposed to 'first manager' which is what bugs me. They're just trying to get out of it, pathetic really.

Just been on the chat with VC again to be told that "these bets should be made void but as a good will gesture the bets will be settled as a win this will be done first thing in the morning". I won't hold my breath but sounds a lot more promising. Will post an update tomorrow.

Yeah, trying to make out they're doing people a favour when they are in fact just doing the correct thing. @rseholes.

Hughton is now favourite to be next manager to go.
