Speaking of which, both Root and Bairstow will miss next week's Championship game against Somerset to go play in a meaningless friendly for England Lions against New Zealand. Thanks, ECB.

Durham chased down 180 from 25 overs against Notts as well. There's value in trying to force these wins.
