I'd imagine there will be a lot of fall out following big Mick's decision to make 10 changes. Sounded like Utd stuttered their way through the game but a clean sheet and three points is job done. Lovely third goal, great build up and a cracking finish.
With respect, our reserves beat their first team in the Carling Cup earlier in the season, and that was still £30+ a go. It was only right that MM rested his players after a great performance on Saturday, for a game which, in reality they didn't have a chance of getting anything from. The weekend's game is a much bigger and much more important game for Wolves.
Up until the penalty, when Zubar had a brain fart, they actually played pretty well, and for a while I thought "this could be one of them nights" but as soon as we got a goal, we never really looked like dropping points, eventhough they continued to show some fight, and pressuring Ketchup with some high balls seemed like the best tactic for them to attempt to get a goal.
Hopefully, the injuries to Vidic and Brown aren't that bad, and they can comeback ASAP. We could definitely do with at least one of them on Saturday.

I don't think the selection that Wolves made had any bearing on the result, I would have expected Utd to win anyway. That said the PL have asked Wolves to explain why they dropped 10 players from the Sunday's game.
Have to say I hope Vidic or Brown will come through for the Fulham game, think Vidic's injury is a calf strain so it will depend on how severe it is really.

I'll tell you what pressure is. "Grand final, only seconds to go, and a field goal attempt with a split testicle and your shoes on the wrong feet."

The crazy thing is that you've been awful and still within touching distance of the top 4. If you look at the teams in and around that area I can only see Liverpool who are capable of going on a 10-11 unbeaten run. Look at last year when you had to win those remaining games, they were going out and wiping teams out in the first 30 minutes.
We still have that in our locker, we don't have half the foundation built this year though and I think it will be harder for the team to gel as a unit like they did last year with no Alonso. Aquilani's good but he's adapting to English football and I'm unsure as to what his best role currently is. I think he's more than capable as playing in the CM/box-to-box position/role, but I'm unsure if this will be his best role in England. He could be a little like Modric in the way he can occasionally play centre mid against small teams, but you'd usually want a couple of players complimenting him.
What do you think about Rafa's guarantee of a top 4 finish? Full credit to you all for continuing to post in what has been a bad season so far. Some lesser fans wouldnt bother unless they were winning.
If Martin O'Neill was worrying about motivating his players post OT win, he needn't have bothered. I find the whole Benitez guarantee a bit disrespectful to be honest, and if I do, you can be sure as hell all concerned with the likes of Villa will and they should use that as motivation. Don't get me wrong, this said, I think they'll finish in the four, but I found his arrogance staggering, staggering considering they looked so low on confidence at the weekend once the goal went in.

Name's not mentioned but I'll answer anyway.
I think it's a bold statement by Rafa, and if it doesn't come off, then I think he'll be in a whole heap of trouble. I've heard all this "turned a corner" stuff before. It's not even January and 4th place is now the ultimate aim.
I only want to make one statement - we won't win the PL with Rafa in charge.
If Benitez fails to finish in the top 4 then he'll probably be out anyway. Him giving a guarantee of top 4 qualification now isn't going to make the slightest bit of difference. I think he's saying these things now to ensure that he's actually given a chance of qualifying for the top 4.
