vastly over-rated. I'm pleased they've gone with the whole "dream team" because it takes some of the heat off us but i don't think they are as great as they are being made out to be.

They have no linebackers...or safeties so TE's and RB's are going to put up big numbers against the Eagles because who's going to cover them?

Really impressed with the D tonight. A lot of guys went out with something to prove. F5 played about 3 series ending with 1td and setting up position for 2 field goals.

Josh Johnson looked really good though and will make a good starting QB in the NFL for someone. Hasn't quite got the quality of Freeman but his accuracy has improved out of sight since last off season. This time next year he will be the starting QB for a team in the NFL, if not sooner.

Blount didn't really get going tonight but Lumpkin looked like he might push him for the starting RB spot. For the wide outs Dez Briscoe looked really good. Preston Parker wasn't too bad either.

Anyway, I'm sure as this is a Bucs post no one will pay attention but there were signs there tonight that we will be much improved on the pass rush than last year. If we can start to put pressure on the QB then we will win these games against the "good" teams that we narrowly lost last year.

Basically then, your starting QB is great, your backup QB is great, your backup RB is great, your pass rush is much better. All from a pre-season game. That's why we don't pay attention pal, look at everything through pewter coloured specs.

A bit concerned about the Giants. Lost Cofield, Smith, Boss and O'hara. I believe we have a decent young crop behind, but I don't think they're ready. Offered Osi a new incentive laden deal apparently. I think our D will still get a few takeaways and our WR's should be okay, Jerningan is supposed to be an awesom playmaker accordng to draft reports. It's the O-Line which is a worry. I don't share SC's optimism about a playoff berth.

Yeah I agree.

They are reliant on Vick, yet he is hardly the most durable of player. It's also be shown that you can stop him, and with a full offseason I suspect teams will have devised defences/schemes to deal with him. Plus isn't Jackson holding out (?) and Maclin have an injury (?). Defence they have obviously improved with Jenk and Aso but they aren't that great. Like you say teams can run and pass on them. Samuel can INT but teams obviously still throw his way.

Lee Evans traded to Baltimore. Makes them an even more legitimate challenger with a real-life deep threat opposite Boldin.
