This week: Four keys to a Rhinos win in the WCC

I know it wouldn't be a complete shock on the scale of the Chiefs last year because they only just missed out last year after a massive improvement but I can see the Rams doing well again and getting into the play-offs this year, still a wide open division!

When did "wide open" become a synonym for "garbage"? :)

Although it is becoming slightly less garbage with all 4 sides probably being able to stake a claim for being the play off team to emerge as division winners. There are worse sides throughout the league than all 4 IMO and in the past few years that hasn't been the case.

If it wasn't for the fact that they play each other twice there isn't a team in that division that would post six wins a season.

It's such a poor division even Tampa would win it.

Go on Harrigan, you know you want to...

Bores me when people slag off our division. The one that is tied for the most successful in the NFC over the last decade or so. The one that produced the team that knocked out the reigning champion New Orleans Saints. But meh, whatever, we are poop. :D

I defended it earlier but it's still the weakest division in the NFL, even though it's improving. Mainly because there isn't a really good team in it. In all honesty can you see an NFC West team winning the SB - I can't. In all other divisions there's a genuine contender - Pats, Colts, Steelers, Chargers (just), Saints, Packers, Eagles. Add to that most divisions have a 2nd "good" team as well such as the Jets, Ravens, Falcons, Bears, Giants etc and you can see why your are regarded as so poor.

I do however think there are worse teams in other divisions than the 4 in yours, if that's any small consolation

Look on the positive side - in any other division you'd be struggling to make the play offs. In yours you have a decent shout!

Why can't you see an NFC West team winning a Superbowl? Season before we won it we absolutely stank. There's many a story of teams going from worst to first in the NFL. In 2008 everyone said Arizona only got into the playoffs because of how bad our division. They only won the NFC Championship and got beat by a gnats whisker in the Superbowl. Our division is in a trough of that there is no doubt but to just dismiss it as been poop is a load of rubbish.

A few reasons but in simple terms there are too many much better teams. Most recent SB winners have had an elite QB or a dominant defence - I don't see a team with either. You'd have the most potential to make the jump in the next couple of years and I'd expect you and the Cards to battle it out for the division this year. I don't see either of you making the NFC Championship game though.

I'm not dismissing it as poop, as I said I defended it earlier, however in terms of teams expected to challenge it is clearly the weakest division in the NFL.

As a Dolphin's fan I understand mediocrity :(

Draft Brewster out of Ohio State next year and the O-Line is HUGE with Cannon coming in at RG.

What is your reasoning behind this prediction? The Packers being favourites is obvious.

1. Packers.
Clear favourites. We won the SB and are getting 15 players back off IR. One of the best offences and a great defence. We are still a young team though so in reality i think we'll drop a game or two we should really be winning.

2. Lions.
They have a very good offence IMO. Defence is an issue, especially in the secondary but they have a great front line. IF they keep Stafford fit then I think they can definately get a wildcard spot.

3. Vikings.
Largely because they have Adrian Peterson. I'm a big fan of Ponder (but McNaab is also good) and think if he gets the chance he'll do well. Defence is dropping off but they are still good.

4. Bears.
Genuinely i'm not on a wind up. Cutler is at excellent and terrible in the same breath. They still don't have a #1 reciever (Roy Williams isn't good enough) and the defence is getting older along with losing Manning who was a good safety.
