That's why I said the squad would look "something like".
The Lescott speculation does seem to have rumbled on for some time without much happening. City dont seem in the habit of allowing speculation to grow without substance (eg they were quick to rubbish suggestions of a bid for Messi). And even their most ambitious bids for Kaka, Eto'o & Terry have been fueled by encouragement from the club and/or player. I'm surprised things havent been brought to a conclusion one way or the other regarding Lescott.
Moyes wouldn't let anything happen until he had a replacement.

Will be sorted once Everton have a replacement, according to rumour.
Shame I haven't got time to reply to other posts. Some of them have been on the button, especiallythose by DD and LGJM
There was talk we were after a defender from Dortmund. He could have been the replacement and some Nigerian defender from Rotterdam he claims Moyes has been interested.
MANCHESTER CITY - PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 2011-12 BORUSSIA DORTMUND - BUNDESLIGA CHAMPIONS 2011-12 CELTIC - SPL CHAMPIONS 2011-12 ALEMANNIA AACHEN - HOPELESS 2011-12 ST. HELENS RLFC - ER.. 3 OUT OF 5 AIN'T BAD!
Can the City fans that find the expenditure on players in terms of both transfers and wages perfectly acceptable take a step back and look at their own lives and wonder why City are making them PAY to watch them next season?
It's not like they need to charge at all is it? It's enough to make you want to hug Ken Davy.
You're obsessed with us man. Change the bleeding record.
If we get rid of some of the wasters that currently occupy our squad, giving chances to the likes of Krul, Kadar, Vuckic, Inman, LuaLua and Ranger to name a few, Glanford Park it is.

It was so much better when we had Vassell and Corradi upfront, with Stephen Jordan and Ji Hai Sun playing full-back, and Beanie the Hourse on the touchline. Now THOSE were the days. It was about £3 or £4 cheaper each game too. An extra £3 to watch Robinho instead of Doris, Ireland instead of Claire Reyna, Tevez instead of King Bernardo and Rigsby Petrov rather than Swiss Tony. It's a con I tell ya.

But at less cost than last term.
Season ticket prices have been held – and then dropped to take account of cuts to VAT. And I suggest that our prices will remain considerably lower than, say, Chelsea or United.

I wonder if City fans will change the Adebayor song they sing now?
I never heard us sing that disgraceful Adebayor song. AFAIK it's primarily a Spurs song.
Will you lot be changing your banners for Tevez? You know, the ones such as "Always my hero". I guess you won't be able to re-use banners such as, "Please stay, Carlos"

I know for a fact you sang it at the emirates, I get your point with Tevez athough I was never really that bothered r.e him staying, as he didn't seem to be a regular starter in Fergie's eyes, to pay £25 million for a sub would have been strange but seems Fergie wanted to do it. I think it's a great signing for any premierleague club, you know what you're getting with him everytime but my main conern would be if he is going to play every week with Robinho, RSC, Bellamy and Adebayor being there, he may end up in the same situation as he was previously.
I read yesterday that Tevez and Ronaldo scored 41 goals together last season same as Torres and Gerrard.
Owen and Berbatov are really going to have to find them goals this season.
