Being a million miles away from that dogshit PPV was the best thing Jarrett could have done. That was embarrasing by WCW standards.
It was the worst PPV I've seen from TNA for a long time, lots of talent left off the card and no X Division, also some terrible finishes to matches. Some matches were very short as well. The heels got too many wins on the show too, but hopefully this leads to the faces getting wins in the long run at the big Bound For Glory PPV.
Kurt Angle was effected by a groin injury that he got while filming his latest movie, so was a bit limited as well, and of course Foley is limited.
Now with the X Division they said they didn't want to have a title match so shortly after Homicide winning the title, but they could still have had a match with some X Division wrestlers. Last year at Victory Road there was the finals of the X Cup, including a Four Team Triple Elimination match and an Ultimate X match, and then this year absolutely nothing.
Bad Match Finishes
Tara vs Love - the foot on ropes not seen finish
Matt Morgan vs. Daniels - Daniels needing to sell a knee injury so didn't hit the BME and then got hit by the Carbon Footprint and followed up with the Hellevator
Dr. Stevie vs. Abyss - A tazer
Jenna vs Sharmell - Jenna put her crotch over Sharmell's face and pinned her
Beer Money vs Scott Steiner and Booker T - Ref can't count Beer Money's pin due to beer in his eyes, then Roode gets beat with the axe kick.
Samoa Joe vs. Sting - Joe went for the muscle buster but Sting struggled too much so it was botched, Joe needed to save the finish by locking in the Kokina Clutch
They can do a lot better than that PPV, I've seen them put on better quality at live events.
Thankfully iMPACT! for the next few weeks looks to be good.
