Frankly I just can't get excited at nor particularly emotionally involved in watching 22 arrogant, self-obsessed, out of touch, mercenary multi-millionaire lowlifes running around, that's all. Don't get me wrong, I still look for Liverpool's results every week and am pleased as punch when they win 'ewt, but I'm frankly a lot more annoyed these days by MK being denied a deserved promotion spot by a thin squad, no goalscorer and some well dodgy decisions going against us 'round Christmas than I am at Liverpool's appalling capitulation this season. And I'm still more than ****ed off about the fact that we were robbed of a deserved home FA Cup tie against you lot this season after our actual 3-0 win against QPR was stolen away by the worst refereeing display ever, but anyway...
I got completely disenchanted in football altogether a few years ago until my wife started dragging me down to Diamonds and reignited me as it were - at that level you see 22 hungry lads running around earning bugger all and giving their all playing entirely for the love of the game. Give me that to the Premier League multi-billionaire playground charade any day.

I've just read though about Rushden and Diamonds. They had £30m invested in them by Max Griggs.
The irony of you questioning how I can feel about CFC after Roman, when you followed Rushden and Diamonds and have now moved on to the MK Dons is ridiculous. I know you scousers are ****ing hypocrites and stupid, but you take the biscuit.
If you believe that the guys down at the lower ranks of pro football are all in for the love of the game then you can. I don't. I heard about a Macclesfield player who was earning £50k a year (might have been £100k, can't really remember.) A grand a week for playing for Macclesfield is completely overpaid, even compared to the stupid salaries of the top PL players.
I personally think that the main difference between PL players and players down at the conference mainly that the conference players are just bad players. But I think the attitudes, arrogance and greed that you hate about PL players is probably just as visible in a Conference dressing room as it is in the PL. You just get to see PL players drive around in Ferraris, while the conference players stretch themselves to mid-range BMW's.
