I'm not a scouser in any way shape or form, thank you very much...
The Fat Waiter is probably given slightly more respect than he deserves for what he brought to Liverpool (and while I dislike him and hate LFC, I do respect his achievements) but it's not like respect from LFC fans is worth 5 times respect from fans of other clubs.
The fact is that even though Benitez took an average LFC to CL glory those achievements have been greatly diminished to everyone because he screwed things up at LFC and was a train wreck at Inter. Right now he's jobless and clearly undesired.
Benitez was an expensive disaster at Liverpool, I'll never understand the clueless hordes of reds fans who want him back, and I don't understand why you're trying to attribute any other opinion to me?
Steven Gerrard is loved by LFC fans. But if he looks like he's going to transfer somewhere you don't like and you pee your pants and burn his shirt.
Errrrrrr..... again, struggling to see your point....
Fernando Torres was the greatest striker in the history of football. His achievement of getting the most goals by a foreigner in their first season in the PL was exalted to almost title winning status. But he rightly leaves to actually see what winning things is like and suddenly he's a washed up pile of cack and never that good in the first place.
He was brilliant for 2 seasons at the reds, has been cack ever since, super cack at Chelsea in fact. I understand your point on this one even less than previously....
So why exactly is the almost impossible task of getting LFC to the top with an average budget going to appeal to the finest managers? What you want from a manager will be achievable only by a handful of the best managers around right now. They'll be courted by the biggest, most powerful clubs, paid massively and have a clearly easier task on their hands than managing you.
Again, not sure what point it is that you think I've made... I have never and would never claim anything other than the fact that it will take hundreds of millions of pounds, a top manager and 3 or 4 seasons to get Liverpool back to the top, the combination of all 3 of which is highly unlikely for the foreseeable future. The league will be carved up for the next few years at least by you and City with your little joke clubs that are basically no more than personal train sets for shady billionaires. At least until those shady billionaires get bored of their little pets running around for their personal amusement and go back to concreting people up in overpasses or funding international terrorism or however it is they get their kicks normally, and you collapse back into mediocrity while real football clubs take over again. If that makes you happy then well done and go you! You enjoy those trophies claimed at the cost of the loss of the eternal soul of your club and be happy about it.
I really don't understand the point your addled little brain is trying to make here generally, sorry. Try a bit harder mate is my advice.
