Painful to watch United lump the ball in to Norwich's box, time-after-time, only to see the Ruddy collect/Norwich's centre halves head it out, time-after-time. Partnering Carrick with an elder statesmen, be it Giggs or Scholes against sides which press and harry is bordering on the ridiculous. Got away with it last week, but found out this.

Ferguson's unwillingness to buy a central midfielder is on par with Arsene Wenger's refusal to sign defenders for stubbornness. He's got enough forward options but most United games this season have resembled basketball games as there is just nothing in their midfield.

there hasn't been for years, it's baffling, the midfield has needed work for years
Anderson and Cleverley on the bench when some energy is needed?
Norwich were outstanding against Man United last night. John Ruddy was never really troubled. It's nice to see things going well for Chris Hughton as he seems to be one of the good guys of the game, and was the only premier league player who wore his shorts higher than Gary Pallister.
Luis Suarez is starting to show his quality on a regular basis now, still has many character flaws but so have many of the Premier League greats. Manchester City have hit tthe top without really hitting any type of form. Everton are showing why they aren't realistic top four contenders, I'd actually bet Liverpool will finish higher. I agree with the posts above about Man United need midfield help, I'd love to see Kagawa stay injury free and get a few games under his belt along with Darren Fletcher.
maybe a little praise for a well organised Canaries side ?
!
Wasn't being dismissive of the canaries, just whining about the ongoing mystery of the midfield, strange game in some respects neither team really threatened

Suarez is running away with the Player of the Year award at the moment - He is single handedly steering Liverpool away from having a mediocre season and actually keeping them in contention for a top 6 finish, which should be nigh on impossible when you see the players that Suarez has to work with.
However, Liverpool really don't help themselves when you read Jamie Carragher coming out with stuff that suggests they are a credible top 4 finisher....I'm not saying it is impossible, but at this point in time, Carragher would be better off just letting their performances do the talking, instead of building up the hopes of the often, overly optimistic kopites, which usually just leads to disappointment and the usual harking back to the good old days.
Rodgers is doing an okay job at the moment and his biggest enemy is expectation, so Carragher building up that expectation is not ideal.

All he has said is that it's up for grabs still, which it is. As for Suarez, absolutley unreal, best player in the PL at the minute. Aside from Spurs away a week on Wednesday, we have a good run of fixtures from now till Janurary, every game is winnable, hopefully we can kick on and go on a good run, having said that we're still unbeaten in the last seven PL games, which can only fill us with confidence.

He's slightly in the lead right now. But he'll need to be twice as good to win it.
Liverpool are still having a mediocre season. They are in with a shout of the top 6 because there are a lot of mediocre sides in the league. To make out that Liverpool are achieving something when they're 11th in the league is ridiculous.
