I'm too cynical though. I think he's investing his wages to benefit from PR, ads, taxes etc. I think he's as saintly as Mother Theresa, and that's the Christopher Hitchens version of Mother Theresa, not the angelic version who's sitting on a cloud with Diana.
Fully agree....The whole thing is a huge publicity stunt which leaves 'Brand Beckham' smelling of roses.
Let's face it, the 'salary' is a small percentage of what makes Beckham his cash - The image rights for all his various off field stuff is what Beckham is interested in, and this latest move is a fantastic piece of marketing for him, as all those many female admirers he has, who know fook all about football, will continue to worship at his altar and continue to make him his huge bucks.
Footballing wise, its utter rubbish.....PSG, supposedly an upcoming European force looking to challenge the best, sign a 37 year old who has not played serious football for about 4 years (bar the brief publicity stuff at Milan) and who is about 10 years past his peak. Undoubtedly, the only positive in this for them will be the constant glare of the media spotlight on the Beckham circus, and, with it, huge global exposure that the French league will never have seen before.
