Some interesting deals being done on deadline day today. City continuing to sign piles of players they won't play on a consistent basis, presumably just because they can, Arsenal continuing to hide and pretend they don't have money, Spurs slapping bids in left, right and centre for just about anyone. Moutinho for £30m and Llorente for £35m are the latest on Sky Sports. QPR seem to be doing some decent business, picking up Esteban Granero today, as well as M'Bia from Marseille who is apparently on a flight over to have a medical.

Liverpool are continuing to pay for their ridiculous decision to employ Comoli and Dalgleish with Carroll, their £35m man joining West Ham on loan.

I would absolutely love Clint Dempsey's move to Liverpool to not come off. He's so utterly unprofessional, a complete and utter grub, such a brilliant match for Liverpool's culture. I hope Fulham let him rot personally.

I think he'll do well at Stoke myself, thankfully for him he's left Liverpool early enough to salvage his career before Liverpool ruin another decent player.

Whilst he may have lost some of his pace and he isn't quite the player he was a few years ago, Maicon to City for €4M is a cracking signing.

Hopefully the only reason we're entering into discussions with Liverpool for a loan of Sturridge is to string them along and leave them strikerless when the transfer deadline closes.
