I cannot stand Liverpool, or their fans who are the most insular bunch of cretins out there. Not only that but they are probably the least knowledgable fans out there.

"The King is back" they proclaim. Seriously, get a grip. Dalglish, as a manager is a complete dud. He inherited a great team at Anfield then fecked off when the going got tough, then he bought the league at Blackburn before leaving Harford to take the rap when it was clear it was a one-off. At Newcastle and as part of the fabled "Dream Team" at Celtic he was an absolute disaster. Yet this mob still herald him as some sort of Messiah?

Still living in the past, still blinkered and still giving everyone out the corridors of Anfield a bloody good laugh at them. The fans seem to have too much clout and if they continue to "pick the manager" then the only way is further down, which is exactly what they deserve.

Part of the Big 4? Aye right, you are kidding yourselves.

That's what I love about this place, revisionism at it's best.

In '87/88, Dalglish bought Barnes, Beardsley, Houghton and Aldridge and turned them into one of the best attacking teams this country has seen. The season before ('86/'87)they finished 11 points behind Everton. Liverpool went on to win the League twice in 3 years only losing out in '88/'89 to Arsenal on goals scored.
