Gives them a clear pen when one of their players is tripped, allows an onside player to play on and score. Absolutely terrible refereeing.
The only problems with the reffing in the highlights I saw were a refusal to shoot Tevez and Nasri for their naff T shirt message celebrations.
There's a div on here who forever bangs on about England practicing pens if/when England miss a pen in a shootout. Obviously that applies to Spain as well after seeing the dreadful effort from Silva yesterday? That Spanish side will never win anything when one of their top players can't do better than that.
It was bizarre that Silva took it. His powder puff shooting inside the box is by far the weakest part of his game

He had a terrible game in general. He looks a player who quickly runs out of steam and I'm not convinced he'll be at City for too much longer. Nasri's influence over the side is growing and I had to pick 2 City midfielders to form my core I'd pick Toure and Nasri.

Silva was seriously over worked in the first half of last season and, not helped by a niggling ankle injury, suffered after Xmas. Mancini seems to be trying to ease him back gradually after the Euros to avoid a repeat. He'll be fine in a couple of weeks, apart from his shooting.
I could only see Real Madrid as being a realistic destination for him and that seems unlikely if they sign Modric.
We'll start the bidding at £25m, this lot is a funky haired Belgian piece capable of incredible things. Any bidders? Arsene, is that a hand I see? Roberto? Jose? Anyone? Thanks Alex, that's £25m, we'll look for £30m, anyone for £30m? Roberto thankyou, it's your's at £30m, anyone for £35m?

I think Everton would struggle to get a big price for Fellaini. He's an effective player but not the type of player that would fit in at a big club IMO. If you compare him to other midfielders that big clubs have spent about £30m on, you'll see the likes of Alonso, Fabregas, Silva, Hazard and you'll be able to throw Modric in there soon. These are fabulous players, technically stupendous. Fellaini's a solid player but it's hard to sell his attributes to a big club, unless you're a desperate club with £50m burning in your pocket.
I always felt Fellaini would have been a good fit at Arsenal, he's come on technically over the years but I can't see him fitting in anywhere if he stays in this 'advanced position'.

He has the technical skills to play in a side like that, he's easily as good technically as Yaya Toure for example. He's really starting to dominate games now, taking them by the scruff of the neck and just controlling them. There is a balance in football, it can't all be the short passing game, teams need physical power as well and there will always be room for someone as dangerous as Fellaini.
But if no one wants him, that's great, we'll keep him.

I'd say what gets Toure by are his speed, athleticism and ability to carry the ball. Toure is sound technically, as is Fellaini, but neither are £30m players, whilst Toure is a superior all-round player to Fellaini. I like Fellaini, he's physical, has a great engine and his ability is underrated, but he doesn't strike me as a player that a big club would invest a huge sum in. I know £30m is becoming a more regular figure in football these days, but when you compare that fee to other players as I listed before, it's hard to see anyone with that kind of money coughing up. Maybe Chelsea, possibly City if they got rid of Toure, but nobody else.
United level on points with crisis club Liverpool. Fergie out.
Pretty sure we are above Liverpool on goal difference.
Only just caught up with the Utd game. Seems we were well beaten. Had a bit of the ball towards the end but only had one chance (Cleverley). Kagawa looked good. That was about it really.
