The liverpool will win the final on penalties, like nearly every other trophy they have won over the past 12 years or so.

Think it was when Michael Owen scored a couple of goals against Arsenal in Cardiff was the last time they didn't win a trophy on pens!

Incorrect, but then again that doesn't surprise me on this thread.

Since the '01 FA Cup Final, Liverpool have also won the 2001 Uefa Cup, 2001 Charity Shield, 2003 League Cup, 2005 Super Cup and 2006 Community Shield without the need for penalties........but hey, let's not get facts in the way of another boring anti-Liverpool post. :SLEEPY:

That was the year they won that 'treble' of trophies, and the other 2 trophies they won, weren't they won on penalties?

You're seriously going to try and throw in things like the charity shield, community shield and super cup? Come on.

Interesting you classed it as an anti-liverpool post as well. Does that suggest you too believe continuously winning on penalties is something negative?

As that was all that was stated. That liverpool seem to win alot of their finals on penalties.

Well it would bounce, it was ten yards further back than Beckham's. It didn't bounce 'til it went over the line. You must have the blackest cat in the world Mark

As for winning on penalties, I don't like penalty shootouts but it seems to be the only way to decide a final in football. Goals are too rare a sight to go into endless extra time.

Still, would United fans rather have been beat by Chelsea than win on penalties in Moscow? How about their past two European cup finals? Would you rather be beat than draw and go to pens?

When it comes to finals, all that matters is winning. Going through on away goals still is the biggest disgrace in football.

Surley Beckham's from the half way line is the best goal.

Nah. It's a quality goal for sure but compare how much time he has to think and execute the kick compared to any of Henry, Le Tissier or Bergkamp. There's nobody near him which is why I think the Suarez one is better. The Figueroa one was a free kick and I've just had another look at the Alonso one and the goalie falls over (if he hadn't he would probably have saved it whereas the others were beaten hands down) so that rules that one out as being comparable. Doesn't matter anyway because we're talking about magic and that instantaneous type of skill is what we're talking about that separates the truly brilliant from very good.
