Italy 1-1 New Zealand

Well done to the Kiwi's, Italy now in a similar position to England needing a result in their final game to get into the last 16.

That result could be a draw though....ours couldn't. So not quite the same.

I don't know.......France on the brink of going out, Italy also could be going out, Germany maybe (but not quite) and, despite me being an England fan, after every single UK media has hyped England up big time about it being their year (especially the S*n and that god awful Venables singing advert), it's possible that we could be going out aswell.

Yeah, some of the matches have been pretty crap quality, but then you see results like Switzerland's win over Spain, New Zealand's draw with Italy, and Germany being beaten by Serbia, and you realise that it's results like this that can boost the tournament.

Have missed this weekend's games as I've been at the beach 8) but from what I have seen you're bang on.
I'm hoping Argentina have found their stride and could take the tournament by the scruff of the neck.

It's a load of nonsense to say it's been awful or boring, I actually thought it was a sarcastic comment.

Yep, the first set of games weren't the best, it was all very cagey but before England deflated everyone on Friday there had been six decent games in a row, Holland/Japan wasn't great yesterday but the games since have all been watchable.

It seems to me from what I've read people just want to see the "big" countries thrashing everyone else 5-0, personally I prefer contests.

I like to see the best players showing why they are the best not seen that this World Cup

Denmarks game last night was the best by some way so far.

So the curse continues.

Can't believe the Kiwis got a result, but the parts I saw, it seemed as though they were outplaying Italy.

The penalty decision, although correct, was harsh, as you see them go unpunished 10s of times a game.

Still, there's got to be more than 2.5 goals in the South America v Africa game, hasn't there? ;)

Agree with that. Big teams thrashing little teams are boring and repetative. There have been some proper contested games in this World Cup that one team was expected to dominate from start to finish but they have not.

Looking forward to Brazil & Ivory Coast tonight. Should be a tasty game.
